Why do I have weird phobias?
There are certain things that I am deathly afraid of. For instance, the bathroom. We are renting a master bedroom with a bathroom inside the room, I can't be in the room with the bathroom door open. It scares me to death. Ever since I was little I have been afraid of the bathroom, not just private bathrooms, but public as well. Although, I can handle public if someone else is in there. I am afraid to be in the house by myself at night, during the day I am ok. I am more afraid of inside the house while I am alone than the outside. I am so afraid of the dark that if my husband turns the tv off at night while I am asleep, I will wake up immediately and turn the tv back on, which causes my husband to get mad and sleep our walk in closet. I have tried everything to get rid of my fears, but nothing helps. Where do these feelings come from, and why do I have them?

How do people end up with really weird phobias?
I don't mean things like heights, snakes or spiders, which can clearly be real dangers and frankly seem perfectly sensible fears to me.I mean things like sleep, postage stamps, marmalade, getting peanut butter stuck to your mouth, the colour blue ... things which cannot possibly harm you and may even be beneficial.

Does anyone have any weird phobias?
I have an odd phobia of imprints...you know, when somebody takes an object i.e. coin, toy action figure, relief sculpture, etc. and press it in clay. It seriously disturbs to the point of breaking out in hives and shrieking. I am not kidding.Does anybody else have weird phobias? People with common phobias are welcomed to post. I'm just curious.I guess I have the phobia because of my anxiety disorder. And as far as holes, I can understand that. For example, I also can't stand sitting on chairs that have spots and grime on it.I won't choose a best answer because I think it was great that you all came forth and posted your phobias Thanks

I have weird phobias, advice?
I have a few odd phobias well i'm sure other people may have them too .1. i absolutely HATE going by or passing windows at night in my home, because i feel like someone is standing out there with a gun just waiting to shoot ME.& 2 I'm afraid to leave food in an oven or stove unattended because I feel like when I leave it will burst into flames. I developed this phobia after my brother caught the microwave on fire by putting a metal clip in, but I'm not afraid of microwaves.I'm not sure how to cope with these phobias, they interfere with my lifestyle. For instance, whenever I'm hungry at night, I can't go to get food from the kitchen because I would have to pass a room in our house that is made of all glass.I don't know if I should maybe see a psychologist about my phobia considering it interferes with my life. I can't talk to my mom about it, because she doesn't understand.Does anyone have any similiar phobias? If so, how do you cope? Or does anyone have advice?I do act apon because I'm frightened. If I didn't see them as not real, I wouldn't refrain from using the kitchen at night or stay by food while its cooking the whole time.Actually, for the cooking one, I even get scared that the level I put the food on is way too high, even when the instructions say what I am doing is correct.

Anyone have any weird fears or phobias? For example, i think i may have a fear of wind turbines...Haah.So anyone got any weird phobias fears? I think its interestin to find out bout them...like i heard that people have a fear of evil midgets spying on them and cannibal siamese twins. Weird lol.
