Question: Do you live in fear of shark attacks?
(Posted by: questioneverything2 on 2007-04-30 00:30:54)
Author Michael Fumento, in his book The Myth of Heterosexual AIDS, offers substantial evidence that white, middle- class, non IV drugabuser heterosexuals are in less danger of contracting AIDS thru non- anal, sexual intercourse than they are of dying from shark attacks, being hit by lightning, or accidentally drowning in the bathtub. The book is very well referenced and documented. The book was reviewed by the Journal of the American Medical Assn as "the best single source available to enable heterosexual persons to assess their personal risk. " JUST CDC FIGURES Caucasians made up 40.6 % of all US cases in 2006 Of those 16.0 % were heterosexuals That means just 6.4 % of all cases were Caucasian Heterosexuals. Of those 18.567 % were female or about 1 % of the total. To do the maths for yourself go to: - http:/ / www.cdc.gov/ hiv/ topics/ surveillance/ resources/ reports/ 2005report/ table3.htm |

So....what's your point? Did you just want to point out that some guy wrote a book about it? Okay...thanks for the info. And, no, I don't live in fear of sharks, because (like the 1st person) I live in a state surrounded by land. It's impossible for me to get bitten by a shark. Also, can you stop posting this? This is about the 4th or 5th "question " I have seen from you about white people and HIV/ AIDS. We get it. Thanks... |

I do not live in fear of shark attacks, for I live in a landlocked state. I also don't live in fear of AIDS, because I avoid high-risk behaviors that cause HIV transmission. |

I used to be afraid of shark attacks because I lived on the Australian coast and I used to swim several times a week. What this guy is saying is true, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't take precautions. I wouldn't have sex without a condom, just like I wouldn't go swimming in the ocean with a bloody chicken attached to me. Minimizing the risks is the key thing here. Take a look at Africa as a whole. It has one of the lowest rates of condom use in the world. In some countries, 30% of the population has HIV or AIDS. They got this way through lack of education and no access to condoms. |
